Prado Diesel

Am looking for a prado diesel to buy. I would prefer automatic transmission.

Prado diesel or actually any SUV in diesel is hard to find in Dubai, if its not privately imported. The dealers only get in petrol ones. I guess as fuel is cheap.

I think you can get VW and Audi in Diesel with the TDI engines, but not even the BMW diesels.

So, summary, if you want a diesel Prado, check with Al-Futtaim if they can help import one for you. If not, then go to Al-Awir and ask one of the many dealers there to import one for you.

The Toyota Al futtaim website has diesel option for the current prado model so i guess they do import diesel vehicles from time to time... heres the site if ur interested 2 check it: http://www.toyotauae.com/english/specs.aspx?pageId=9681

I think we should discuss a topic about diesel engines in this forum & how do they go with our market & current consumers..
As a matter of fact, Ive spotted several diesel models of the new Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi L200, & Nissan Urvan vans driven on the roads in dubai..

The website has a lot of copy-paste stuff from other Toyota websites so one is never sure if the info is right.
Can someone call and check with Al-futtaim? Last time i checked they only had the GX and VX models to choose from.
