your ride?Zak, what car do you drive?
I've seen a lot of odd models, but still am to see the Shelby. Maybe I should hang around Dubai Marina Resort and Wafi more (or is Dubai Marina these days?) BTW, I saw a nice black McLaren SLR on friday parked in front of the mosque for prayers. With a car like that you ought to be thankful
Hi root..
not much goodies in Dubai to be honest.. people are more worried here about capital cost and maintenance cost and all that .. in Abu Dhabi, they'd trade it all for prestige & status.. the very top class.. you WILL find that there are more Maybach's, Phantoms, Carrera GT, Murcielago, SLR's and F60's than in the entire North American continent. This is a true fact, not making things up! You will even find more unusual exotics like Maserati MC12, Zonda (Dubai plate), Koenegsegg and others. I have actually seen them on the road. Man! It's like a living motorshow on AD roads every night! Of course, they'd come over to Dubai for the weekend, and that's why people in Dubai are lucky to see those cars once in a lifetime. About Shelby Cobra, I've seen two red & blue in Hamriya (many years ago) and a black one in Mirdif last year. They're probably replicas, but look so good, and sound even better. I have a SN95 Saleen Mustang.. Stanger to the bone, dude![/img]
Saleen Mustang SN95
Amazing! So you love muscle cars? Me too! Nothing beats a good-old big block 'all-american' V8. My fav stang is the Shelby GT500: (Fastest production Mustang - production means anything produced by Ford, exclude the Saleen's and Eaton's!) You are very very right about Abu Dhabi, they prefer CLASS over COST which is great for onlookers. I've seen a Carrera GT, Murcielago, Enzo, Phantom and quite a few AMV8s, F430s and Continental GTs in Dubai. Dubai-plate. I even saw a Maybach once in Abu Dhabi. Give respect, get respect.
Hi TNT
I love you because you love Mustangs *L* You can join the club at www.dubaimustangclub.com the 2007 Shelby Mustang GT500 is definitly the most powerful & fastest 4000 lbs Mustang ever built. Evolution Performance decided to do a litttttle mod by replacing the stock Eaton roots blower with Kenne Bell, and a little more SCT flash tuning, and the result was a neck-snapping 596 horses at the rear wheels: 10.46's @ 132mph Street Legal Shelby GT500! To me.. even if it doesnt work at all.. I would kill myself just for the looks of it! Check out my Mustang if you like
Race? Only on the drag/strip track.. yes sure, after I complete working on it..
I had a terrible cam & blower combo.. my bad.. I was a rookie 2 years ago, when I decided to replace my excellent & powerful N/A combo with non-compatible coctail of high performance parts. You see with the wide overlap degrees of that E303 cam whcih I had (110) plus the long durations, the pressurized flow from the compressor was scavenging the air/fuel mixture out through the off-road exhaust system.. causing high vacuum, loss of combustion energy, loss of torque & power, hell of a backfire. In another words, it was much more powerful with the right N/A combo. In addition, the MAF sensor was not calibrated to the new injectors, and the stock ECU was not tuned. That was when I was naive - but people learn from their mistakes Anyway... I have more theoritical & practical knowledge now, I've done my homework and I'm on it. Personally.
sweetThat's a sweet pimped up ride!
But it looks like the ones that the police also like to stop more often than others. Any undue encounters just because of the looks?
*LOL*
You got that absolutely right!! It is one of the reasons why I dont drive it often, police harrassment every 5 or 6 outruns.. it's not just the looks and the lowered suspension.. but also the exhaust system with offroad H-pipe, 1-5/8" MAC headers & 2-1/2" Borla mufflers (you just cant imagine how that sounds on a V8, like a monster truck).. not to mention the emission test every year
I would certainly love to race you on a dragstrip. The Mustang isn't exactly agile which is the reason I love my EVO more because it is an 'all-in-wonder'. Back-street bashing, drifting, drag, and streetcross. It is an unbeatable combination of performance and is a crazy ride.
Give respect, get respect.
