Importing my VAUXHAL/OPEL Astra from the UK to Dubai

Hey guys

I am thinking of importing my Astra from the UK to Dubai because I have to leave the UK on a short notice, and I need a car in Dubai as soon as I get there.

Firstly, I am wondering if the UK specs would be OK at the UAE? What do I need to do in order to adapt the car to UAE environment?

Secondly, I wonder if anybody knows any good shipping agency? Any advise on the costs involved will be appreciated as well.

Yasser! DONT DO THAT!!!!

Your car will never be registered in UAE as it is RHD. Even if you get it converted, it will have trouble passing the registration tests.

You are better off selling it and getting a new car over here.

root is right YasserUK, sell your car and buy another one here in UAE. Prices are quite low in the country so save urself the trouble.

furthermore, Vauxhall is non-existent here. The Opel brand exists but I think they sell under 100 cars a year in this country - so pretty close to non-existent.
