Toyota Sequoia?

Saw an ad of the monster SUV - Toyota Sequoia, in the papers today. So, it seems Al-Futtaim are finally bringing this one in to UAE.

Anyone know the pricing for this?

Yes they did, its on their website now. Competitor to the Armada.
It starts at exactly $34,150 in the US which is roughly 125k AED.
UAE price will probably be 145k or more.
Engine is impressive though, 5.7 V8 rated at 381 hp.

I guess it makes sense to import Toyotas from USA these days rather than Japan - firstly due to the slump in USA for car sales, and secondly due the rising Yen.

The engine should be the same as the LX570, or Land Cruiser 5.7 ?

215k for full option. it comes only as 2wd which i think i ridiculous for a big suv, so basically it competes with the minivans?

Al-Futtaim will continue their arrogant stand! Toyota should find another dealer and create some local competition in the market. We deserve better pricing and more models here.

I'd rather add some more money to that and get an Escalade.

Seems like the Land Cruiser would be the better option..put more dough in and get the Lexus LX570.

are you sure they have the 4x4 sequoia here?

the escalade is 285k and the lx570 is 350k last time i checked.

They don't have the 4x4 here.
Escalade because you have to add just 40k more, while to get the LX you have to add 115k more over the Sequoia.
Why would I want a Toyota Land Cruiser when I can get a Cadillac Escalade which looks, feels and drives fantastic.

'cause the cadillac will be worthless in 5 years, while the Land Cruiser will keep you away from workshops and give great resale even 10 years down the road.

But there is a reason that whole GM market value on NYSE is less than the market value of Al-Futtaims Toyota-Lexus division!
