Audi has just announced that the brand new RS 5 Convertible will be unveiled on September 6. Of course, this model is not a surprise as we already have the images with the new car. It’s not a surprise that the brand new RS 5 Convertible will use the same 4.2-liter V8 engine found on the coupe version, delivering 450 hp at 8,250 rpm and 430 Nm (317.15 lb-ft). In terms of performances, the convertible is expected to match the coupe, which means a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 250 to 280 km/h (155.34 to 173.98 mph) upon request. What’s more interesting is that Audi will also offer this model in the United States as a successor of the RS4 Cabrio. California Air Resources Board (CARB) unofficially confirmed that the car is indeed being prepared for the United States market.
