Hi Tony,
Value for money SUV today is the TOYOTA LANDCRUISER or if you want a smaller version then its the TOYOTA PRADO both of them are powerful, have very low maintenance, good milage, Japanese design with good features and to top it all excellent re-sale value.
If you want to opt for American brand then you should look at the FORD EXPLORER which in the American range is the best value for money SUV.
I have lived here last 14 years and as a Automobile freak driving for the last 13 years many different brands of cars and SUV's so therefore this suggession is from my experience.
Just wanted to notify you that if your company is into hiring Executives then I am available as I am looking for change from my present job.

Landcruiser/Prado Interiors - not very impressive.

Nissan Murano Interior - Kinda liked .
