im looking 4 a good suvHEY GUYS!im looking 4 a good suv that has 3 rows of seats and is less than 120k
Re: im looking 4 a good suvAnd also the new Nissan Pathfinder 2006 model. It has 3 rows.
For Dubai, most popular are Toyota Prado and Mitsubishi Pajero in this price range. The current 2005 Pathfinder does not have 3 rows. You also have the Koreans as well. Much cheaper.
prado best SUV under 120kGet a Toyota Prado! Best value for money. It keeps it price very well. Just check prices of old Prados on autodealer.
Prado comes in 2 models: GX which is 4 cylinder and 2.7 liters. Its just under 100k for a 5 door model. It is a bit underpowered, but good for the wife and city driving, specially with current speed limits VX which is a 6 cylinder and 4.0 liters. It is around 120k for the 5 door model.
Pajero better value for moneyPajero is much better value for money. Pajero starts at 85k for a 6-cylinder while Prado starts at 99k for a 4-cylinder!
Re: Pajero better value for moneyYA YA THE PRADOS TOOOOO UNDERPOWERED, THE PAJERO IS TOO UNCOMFORTABLE INSIDE AND THE MRV IS UGGGGLYYY!
american SUVs are uselessDurango, Expedition, Explorer...the list goes on, but they are all monster fuel-guzzlers that are highly unreliable with terrible resale value.
If you want to go yankee, then go for Jeep (and they are also owned by DaimlerCrysler ). The Cherokees are nice as well as the Wrangler. You want to buy a good car..do this simple maths: Take the new car price and then divide it by the average 2 year old car price you find on autodealer....the lower the number, the better the car is....the market sets the value of cars properly is my view.
Jeep and PajeroThe Kia, yes, its ok ... they were built on an old Mercedes plant but other than that they have little to their credit in terms of build quality ... doesn't look like it can offroad.
In my opinion, the Prado is top of the line interms of build quality, second place is shared by Pajero and Jeep. I think that the 2.7 liter is not underpowered (my opinion isn't shared by the toyota fan), I've done desert duelling in the 2.7 liter Pajero (5 door) and other than the trims, the car didn't have a hard time cruising over dunes. In fact, it handled itself exceptionally well. Ofcourse the handling on a Jeep Cherokee 4.0 is superb, esp because you get a lighter frame on a 4 liter engine ...
