Would like to import 911 turbo into australia from dubai but the price seem to good to be true.
2008 turbo in australia is around $235,000. for a similar car in dubai might be around $67,000 in australian dollars. I understand their are import costs etc.. but whats the catch?

:)
Not sure what the ozzie dollar is these days, but reckon pretty close to the US dollar these days (you've got the commodities, and US gots the deficits).

Now to your questions - a new 911 Turbo over here is around AED 450k starting price - thats about $130k USD. A 3 year old Turbo can drop upto half the price in a bad market. Remember there are not that many buyers for this breed of the car. However, dealers will sniff out any of these that are in good condition, and they see an arbitration to make money on.

So, answering your question, yes, its probably possible to find one in the price you mentioned, but you better double/triple-check what you're buying as well - you could get stuck with a lemon.

Also, don't you drive on the other side over there? These vehicles are NOT to be converted!
