Please Help

Postby swatfa on Sun Apr 20, 2008 11:50 pm

Hi,
Ive recently been considering getting a license for a Motorycle so i can ride a Motorcycle in Dubai. Ive never ridden a motorbike before but its the only quick solution to getting around in Dubai for my job instead of waiting for around six months for a car license. my questions are as follows;

1 - Is it really that dangerous to ride a motorbike in Dubai? I dont really intend to go very fast.

2 - Is there any recommended bikes for a beginner which are very safe?

3 - Is a scooter an option in Dubai, or would they laugh at me on highways? :oops:

Thanks
Simo.

Yes, its dangerous! Too many idiots with big cars that do not show any respect to those on 2 wheels.

If you decide to get one, then get something like 400 cc to start off with. Too small or too big can be dangerous. Also, try to get a bike in good condition. Worst thing you want is to be stuck in the middle of a road with a broken bike.

Scooter? Have actually not seen any that I recall. Depends on what kind you get.
