CRV or Pathfinder?Hey Guys,
I have a budget of AED 50,000 and I’m looking at Nissan Pathfinder OR Honda CRV....Any thoughts about which would be a better choice? thankx
pathfinderI would say pathfinder. More power, good for offroad and good resale.
Thankx root, that helps....i just saw a pathfinder from this private dealer its 2003 full options 68,000 KMS , he is asking for AED 70,000 for it......what do you think?
He has other Pathfinder 2002 and 2003 , one is basic model and other is #2 specs for AED 56,000 and AED 67,000 respectively.... Do you think its a decent price?
TNT, mind if I take you up on your offer?
I was in two minds too, seeing that the CR-V has a definitely nicer interior and fuel efficiency. Then i was looking out for last two weeks to observe how these two rideon the roads. Pathfinder wins hands down!!!! Its almost majestic. a week back I got a quote of AED 57750 from Automall for a black #2 spec 2003 with arnd 65K KMs. I still think thats a bit on the high side, but with automall, one can be sure that the vehicle would be immaculate when you take it+1 yr or 20,000 KMS warranty. Can you guys help me with this?.. lemme get my 'finder, then we can form the club and lets take it from there? ['cuz presently i'm ridin a 91 MB 190E Sportline; it's immaculate and I love it so.... but it's almost venerable age makes me feel bad everytime I have to revv it high.. poor old bugger]
I saw one in the paper for 45k with a CD changer, auto A/C, sunroof, alloys (not like those ugly steel ones on the base). But it isn't being advertised nowadays or I would've certainly given you the number.
And about that Merc you own, you seem like a die-hard enthusiast to be owning one of those. 1.9 ltr? Give respect, get respect.
45 k would have been awesome, but perhaps it would be pre-2003 (the last upgrade was in 2003), or mebbe long miles on the odo....
neways, no point now, eh? re: 190 yeah its a 2.0 ltr 4 Cyl, but this one is a Lim Ed Sportline (which normally comes in 2.6 Ltr 6 Cyl). Steel grey, rear spoiler, sporty seats.. I really feel good even now when I look at it clean and shiny Not that I'm a DHE or whtnot, it was the only merc I could own then (two years back) within my buy n' maintain budget. fresh in UAE, fresh license, not so fresh salary, u know the game.... But I wanted it on record that my FIRST EVER car is manufactured by Mercedes Benz... something abt the three pointed star that always guided me thots and still does.... tho now I also want to get a feel of the JAPANESE nimbleness .. life is all about experiences, aint it... AND god's grace, now I can afford it as well... BTW guys, what's your take on ISUZU Trooper?
Isuzu Trooper?
It's a decent SUV but it has exactly the same problems (and maybe more) Subaru is facing in the U.A.E. Reliability is an issue. Out-dated interior and exterior design and bad quality interior doesn't make it worth the money. It might be a good seller in other parts of the world (I saw THOUSANDS when I was on a trip to Russia, sells well there, household name I guess, like Subie in Oman) but it isn't much of a chick magnet here. Which is why, resale suffers too. Give respect, get respect.
