Hi all,

I would like to sell my 5 digit Green category car number plate, Abu Dhabi Registration. Does anyone know the procedure? I heard that number plates cannot be sold now. I am an expatriate, FYI. Thanks to all in advance.

Really? Not sure if things changed in Abu Dhabi.
Cant believe you cannot 'transfer' plates, given that people have spent millions buying plates.

I would suggest to go to the traffic police and ask around there. Dont say sell, but transfer. Several of those working at the departments do this as a side-business, so I'm sure you'll get some help.

The colours are gone now as far as I know.

And yes A.D new plates are 5,6,10 series...I think that has increased demand for older plates...you know, vintage...sombody is offering me a good amount...hope it works out.. pray for me ...i'l post once i find out about transfer rules...may take 2,3 days...bi for now
