Prado 2010 has arrived and being tested by Al Futtaim.
Launch is expected on 1st of Nov 09
# 1 will cost around 191k with 5 cameras , front , rear , 2x sides & down too as per information what I received, rest God knows the best.

No difference in Engine.
let us see where Vx basic will stand.

Down camera? How does that work? Does the car fly for a camera aimed down? It sounds like the camera show you get in Emirates

The same question I asked the informer, he said it is for safaris when you got stuck in sand .....

I just got a detailed list of options and prices without duty, where the #1 is showing 206k AED so if you add duty " i dont know how much " where it will reach. if some one want I can mail the specification and price list. cars available in dubai.

TNT in this case you should relax as if 191k offer from AL Futtaim is real it's a good offer.

No way in hell that price is justified. Just like the base LC which touched 200k this year.

The cars are imported from Oman for export only, therefore the prices are without duty, if need to be registered then Duty should be paid.

Hi All,

As said earlier Prado is launched Today, but Prices as said earlier is not matching with Todays price.

4lt basic no alloys no roof rail I can say no options except automatic is 142k AED while the Top range is 213k AED from Al Futtaim, Festival City.

Do you think one would preffer buying a Prado instead of Land Cruiser in this range

Well, that will depend on what the person is looking for. The base LC will share the pricing with the top option Prado so the person who wants his gadgets will go with the Prado (which will have a better power to weight ratio than the LC since they'll be sharing engines)
While a person like me would just get the base LC because of the 'name'.
(Very honestly, I wouldn't buy either)

And this just in: the SWB Prado will only have the puny 4 cyl, no V6. This is really sad news for the off-roading enthusiasts because the SWB 4.0 V6 Prado was one of the best off-roaders in the market.

They quoted me 114k for the FJ, no time to drive to Buraimi and meet them. Will probably go this coming weekend.

The price list I had posted earlier is from Oman without Duty, and there won't be a difference of more then 2 to 3 k AED in comparission with Al Futtaim.

Prices for 2010 will come down around Feb or March, as Al Futtaim has a quite good stock of 2009 #1 Prado and this is the reason they hike the price for new one, so people will rush for 09 model and once they will clear the stock they will announce a promotion on 2010 ( My thoughts after discussion with AF Sales )

I have just visited Al Futtaim to have a look at LC Prado, it's really cool specially the interior, it's little wider then the old one, prices for # 1 is not even 113k as informed me over the phone it's 117k AED, basically it's their strategy that by increasing the price of Prado 2010 people will prefer to have Land Cruiser instead, which is 188k AED and some will rush for 09.

So in this way they will clear 09 stock in short time and secondly Sale of Land cruiser will be increased, I am sure by DSF they will launch a promotion with reduced price.

I have decided to go for it, once they will promote.

By the way there is modle TYP9510 without roof rail, Licence plate garnish, leather stearing wheel, rear parking sensor, i.e for 142k AED, it's a good option at the moment.
