A friend of mine has the 3.0 and it is great on the dunes, 3.8 will be better. I disagree on the part that 3.8 is underpowered, it is good enough IMO.
Get the 3.5 and be done with it.

Re: Which To BuyIf the choice is between the Fortuner 4.0 and Pajero 3.5 (new model), I'd go with the Pajero. Reason: new model, new engine!
Though the Fortuner probably has a slightly better resale from what I hear. Come and discuss at the most lively forums about Cars, Bikes, 4x4s...at http://www.autodealer.ae at the Autodealer UAE Forums.
Re: Which To BuyPajero is just a better car than the Fortuner. Looks better, has a better interior and just generally feels better.
Give respect, get respect.

Re: Which To Buy3.5 Pajero?? i'll check it out as well.
Re: Which To BuyHi there,
This is my first post and I would really like your advice. I was planning to buy a new Prado but the prices for the prado are way exaggerated for my taste, particularly in this point in time. Thats when I decided to look into a pajero. Me being a Toyota Fan never bothered abt the Mithsubishi to be more honest, but the first time I sat inside a Pajero, really blew my head off. The Model I was looking into was the 3.5 L engine, fully loaded which is priced at Dhs 115K. It had more features and defintely looked much better from the inside than 4.0L V6 Prado which was priced at Dhs 157K My question is regarding the engine performance of a pajero. How is it? Is it reliable. I drove my friends 3.0L 2009 Pajero for a test and I did feel that the acoustics were not that supreme, like it has been suggested on the board here. How is the car? Reliability is the key for me. The interiors rock apart from the fact they dont have a push button start/stop.. but I am not complaining!! Thats the only thing I found in the Prado I was looking which was not there in the Pajero. How much is expenses for maintenence and all?? Just please let me know abt this as soon as possible.
Re: Which To BuyMany Pajero owners here, hope they'll chip in.
Its a good car for the money, generally reliable but the after-sales attitude of the dealership isn't all that good (but that is the case with most here) Give respect, get respect.
Re: Which To BuyYou said buy New Lexus GX but how to save lots money I didn't get you. Means do you have information about some schemes which sells new Lexus GX at lower price? Please clarify this, don't understand.
Re: Which To BuyLexus GX is cheaper in US is what he's saying probably!
