hmmm.....coming from Australia, my wife has driven, Galant vr4 @l AWD turbo, then an Evo Lancer....somehow i dont think the 4cyl prado will cut it :P

We drove the 3.0L Pajero and that was insufficient - so I think it will be with the Pathfinder - its the closest looking thing to a Hummer I can get :)

Black is always a favourite colour for cars - however given the climate etc here is this colour a problem both in terms of practicality and resale??

Cant wait till thursday..... 2 sleeps... :D

black or white

Well, if you like black then go for it. I would not worry about resale value as the difference is minute vs the pleasure of what you want.

Traditionally, lighter colours like white, off-white, pearl-white are popular because they feel cooler in the summer heat plus they look cleaner. With a black vehicle even the slightest dust is easily visible.

Well Ive now driven the prado and the pathfinder.

I just cant split them!!

Demand dictates that I can get a silver prado by the end of the month - every other colour is a July wait.

Choice of colour is also limited on the Pathfinder.

Pathfinder's top liner is 3kAED more than Prado's mid liner. midliner vs midliner there is 15k difference (prado is dearer).

Are there any Prado vs Pathfinder reviews floating around that I can compare with?? I just cannot split the cars myself, they each have their pro's and cons.

I have been told by someone in toyota that prado will change its shape after every 7 yrs. I think this shape came out in 03?? This may affect resale if im holding an older shape model??

Pathfinder I assume will run that shape for the next few yrs...

(maybe this topic should be removed into a separate thread....hehe...) :D

Personally, I would've gone for the Prado. Great looks, 'Unrivalled Off-Road King", powerful engine, spaciousness, resale value etc.
The only thing I dont like about it is the price of brand new. It forces one to look elsewhere.

BTW, even I'm lookin for a car and I had considered the Pathfinder too.
Check it out in General Chat.

get either

Both are great, so get the one you like best.

Toyota is still the number 1 brand in UAE when it comes to resale.
