Sure, you can buy let's say a 2008 X5 for about 20-25k (after shipping and taxes) cheaper than over here. But when you consider the fact you're spending over 200,000dhs on a car, is it worth the risk? Not to mention resale value, US spec cars are cheaper over here anyway, which means when you chose to sell that car, you'll get 5-10% less anyway???

There's certainly a lot to consider but for me, you would really need to be getting a GREAT deal from the States to make it worth while.

yeah, i almost came to same conclusion!

You are probably better off visiting one of the dealers in Ajman or Sharjah that bulk import from US from Auctions. This way you can check the car, reduce the risk, and pay a small premium to the dealer on that.
Come and discuss at the most lively forums about Cars, Bikes, 4x4s...at http://www.autodealer.ae at the Autodealer UAE Forums.
