Postby ren_thomas on Mon Oct 27, 2008 7:29 am

Hi....
Planning to go in for a Pathfinder 2008/2009.....appreciate if anyone could help me with reviews on it....in terms of its performance (on road/ off road), fuel efficiency ( compared to others in class), any observed glitches.....

Would you reccomend me buying it...in sum...???

Performance is good, fuel efficiency will be just like any other big displacement (4-5l) SUV.
There aren't any 'glitches' as such, or none that I know about but people do complain about the second row seat having less leg-room. It is a very subjective issue, some people may think its plenty, others will find it barely enough. Thus, do try the back seat.
Give respect, get respect.

There are also people who think the clearance with the standard wheels is not that great for off-roading. The earlier version is more sought off for off-roading as it had a better clearance. This version however is more city/comfort friendly.

The engine power/size is good for a vehicle of this size.

I personally felt a bit cramped in this vehicle. But that could be that I was used to driving larger SUVs when I tried that one.

Reviews speak bad about its offroading potential... Otherwise its more of a highway car...

GX is 2.7l V4 while the VX is 4.0l V6.

The GX 7-seater feels a bit sluggish but is a good vehicle in general.
If you want to go duning, then you will need VX.
