Opinion people. If anyone were to choose between the two, what should it be, the RR Sports or the Cayenne S? Both 2009 models. in specific tems of: 1. Performance / capabilities, on road and off road 2. Percived value / status symbol 3. Snob value 4. Rear seat leg room and space Thanks

Both are as common as Corollas if you go to the right place. What RR Sport are you talkin about here? HSE or Supercharged? Both have an equal 'status symbol' value. Loads of snobs own both LOL RR is better than Cayenne in terms of rear leg room. Cayenne is more cramped than a Rav4! Personally speaking, I'd get an RR Sport over a Cayenne S. A standard non-Sport RR would be even better.

R.R is not of much use off road, If u r seriously looking for a 4 wheel drive car then cayenne is the best.

Cayenne S Rocks! The 8-12 month wait for this vehicle tells it all. Plus resale is better than Land Cruiser!

For Snob value, you need to get the Cayenne Turbo S...add a Gemballa or ABT kit to top it.

The normal RR is a diffrent car than the RR sports. Even the platform is diffrent. Its the LR3 platform and hence smaller than the Normal RR.
The turbo and Gembala etc are, well, a bit of an over kill for me. I would rather race down in something more closer to the ground and maybe put 2 turbos in the Z !!

The only Cayenne that I'd get over a Range Rover is the Cayenne Turbo.

now there is cayenne turbo S also with 550bhp!
id take the cayenne s as it handles better and accelerates better than the RR sport. i got no idea how these vehicles perform off road though. once you add the options on the cayenne s it can cost you some serious dough though!! almost nothing comes standard with it apart from the engine

yeah, you pay extra for the floor mats, the emblem at the back, emblem on the wheels, etc. But it's a very nice ride! Took one to 220 km/h on Al-Khail road a few days ago, and it was very stable and did not feel anything (other than the adrenaline rush). One issue though...much easier to collect those black points and crazy speeding fines
