I think I am able to afford a 01-03 years old model. GX 2.7 2door.

hey!
nissan pathfinder is also a very reliable 4x4...
although the shape changed last year but the earlier shape wasn't bad at all...
with ur budget u can find a 2002 full options... it drives well on and off roads... and has always been the pick of the government cars like the police, airport, municipal etc...
so give it a look before u buy anything...
good luck!

The Nissan is definitely a superb alternative. It drives well and performs outstandingly off-road. If you want to go for a 4-dr, you might want to consider or if you prefer to stick to a 2-dr, then nothing beats a Prado.

:D
Everybody told me go for the Prado, but AED60K-70K required.

I am trying my best to find reliable one (01-03) within my budget.

Alternatively I am looking a 4 door RAV4 city SUV (03-05).

A Rav4 is too small. :P And a Pathfinder will be more bang for buck.

Hey TNT ... you caught a good example on camera ... Respect!

The Nissan is also awesome and certainly a great competitor to the alternatives you're looking at (prado, pajero, wrangler). Agreed that it will be a better bargain than the Prado with no compromise on the build quality or experience.
