fined in Ajman!!

Postby Brembo on Tue Nov 03, 2009 9:35 pm

so just doing my weekly check on traffic fines and apparently my car got a fine from ajman police.
no description of the fine, no picture just a 600dhs fine. at the time of the fine my car was parked outside my house after my weekend car detailing session.
the last time i went to ajman was 6months ago and it was in another car.
what should i do?

Appeal! Ask them to give you info + pics if possible.
Try your luck, what car BTW? I know it doesn't matter, just curious.

I think you should be able to take your photo from any emirates as it is in system, please check it in any of the RTA points like in Union Coop in Tawar " Ghussais" may be it will save your time or if you are in bur dubai area there is one in Lamcy Plaza also.

Ajman Maroor is in Jurff area
If you are coming from Dubai Emirates road take a humadia interchange "Al Helio" so you will drop on left, go straight till roundabout some construction is going on take right from there go straight pass another roundabout then keep right it will be there just before Emirates Petrol Station.

Dear Brembo, I can understand your fealings, same thing happened with my Brother but it' was in Dubai, and Dubai Police helps a lot, he recently got a liscence may be 3 to 4 months only and he bought a new car "Accord " from Al Futtaim, they had given him a fine of 1k plus for driving without liscence , registration expire & not stopping when Policeman try to stop.

This miskeen tried a lot running from RTA to Police H.Q but no use.

I wrote a detailed mail to Dubai Police to justify, I was shocked in few minutes I receive a mail to provide the copy of registration and licence, we provided them quickly and the fine was cleared immediately.
:D
Salute to Dubai Polilce.

But in your case the main issue is nothing is mentioned, but still I suggest to do the same on their site, as it is under Abu Dhabi Police I hope you will get some help Inshah ALLAH.

Share your pain! I had a similar fine for my motorbike from Sharjah, and I've never been in Sharjah with my bike.

I bit the bullet and paid the 300 AED fine...I thought that it was better than to waste a day going to Sharjah and running around to get this sorted out.

Sucks! For 600 AED, you probably need to appeal!

problem fixed. office PRO was extremely helpful and made 2-3 trips and got it canceled. apparently the fine was for a plate very similar to mine. 1st trip he did they dint have the pic, 2nd trip they didnt have the 'person in charge' to cancel it. 3rd time lucky. if you ever need to do this make sure you can speak Arabic fluently and ask them nicely.

yeah, congrats! But were the 3 trips worth the AED 600 if you had to go yourself?

I've also had a similar case of a Salik fine for a number plate that looked similar (one digit different). But that was Dubai, and was resolved after paying the 10 AED picture fee. (For some reason they never gave me back the 10 AED even though it was their fault).

Yes root making 3 trips are worth at least for me as it frustrate my if I have not done anything wrong and I am being penalized for that, and once you clarify that it's not your fault it's an achievement.

And one serious concern is these highly paid fines if you will leave it will become more in future the reason i can't tell you in forum, and result will be in Black Points.

Advise is never leave a stamp on your file if you have not done anything wrong.

last year one Russian guy got the fine at Airport it was for only 100dh but it was not his fault he sued the Police man in court, he presented pictures of the car while it was pared and got fined, he spend 4000dh but he won the case.

Yes it is not logical to spend 4k to get refunded for just 100, but he got that also back in other case on Police.
