Anyone else experiencing slow internet lately?

Are you guys also experiencing slow internet lately?
I've always used du and it was pretty fast, but lately it seems like every page takes ages to load. On the other hand bit-torrents and downloads seem to work pretty ok.
Is it du's new proxy thats screwing things up?

Etisalat guys..do you feel the same?

Maybe its just 'du' duing what they du so well...provide terrible service!

Talk about it. just imagine I am in a DU service provided free zone (Knwoledge Village, DMC area) and in their own domain i get bad network on Du mobile.

Another thing I don't know if am going crazy or something wrong with my account, this is like the 3rd attempt to post something, first to reply to Roots PM, 2nd to start a topic. Wasn't able to do so.

yes Etisalat, Du and all ISP in the GCC are having issue with bandwidth.

Probably another Internet cable pulled by the supposidly "boat anchor"?

Just an excuse for something else here in the Middle East for its terrible service for anything in comparison to Europe or North America.

What decade will this place finally catch on to what REAL customer service is about?

Welcome to the forums! Yeah, internet service is just getting worse despite putting fibers and DSLs.

There are ways to improve speed. One of the simplest is to use a different DNS server rather than Etisalat and DU as their DNS server is being managed very badly. It means tinkering with your internet or router settings.

Better stop bad-mouthing the monopolies, before they decide to put this site on the 'morally corrupt' sites

my torrents are slow since yesterday, instead of gettin around 60kBps i get 25kBps
