Go register yourself with one of the Driving Schools..like Belhasa or Emirates Driving School. Take the lessons, pass the tests
Thats true! But get registered now and get the ball rolling. Everything takes time here these days.
There is a fast track at both those schools, which costs extra. Check that out if you wanna save time.
sorry to dissapoint you but gettin a DL in dubai is a looooooooooooong process.
a friend who applied recently, this was how long it took him 1 week to get paperwork frm company then went to register at EDI 3 weeks for them to give him the classes starting date. 1 week waiting for the classes to start had to do 20 classes, 2 classes per day so 10 days then 4 lectures too while doing the classes then signal test then 2.5months wait for the 1st road test drove perfectly, so they failed him again 1 month wait before starting the 8 classes you have to do if you fail then again long unknown wait for the next road test ohh the rules have changed now i think, new drivers have to do 80 classes? good luck, you will be wiser and older (a LOT) by the time you get a DL.
I hear the wait is much shorter in Abu Dhabi, if you can get it over there.
They also fail you less than the Dubai police. Maybe even easier in Ras Al Khaimah or Umm Al Quwain
I know how waseemzb must be feeling! I had the same feeling when getting my licenses (both times for car and bike!)
You just wish that you could fast-forward to the test date and get it over with.
