Arabian Ranches round-about ?? ;)

Just joking..seriously just joking. Dont do it there!

Some shopping mall car park at 4 AM in the morning might be do-able, but that sounds too much like Tokyo Drift. Again not advisable.

Jabbel Hafeet in Al-Ain has some some curvy tracks..again not very safe.

Best safe place to probably do this these days is in the Auto complex in Umm Al Quwain or the Dubai Autodrome.

BTW, I remember a similar post sometime back. Should search the forum!

Thank's again!!,
I did some "drifting" in one of the beach & was caught once :D .
So no more fooling around, though it gets quite tempting sometimes  .

My civic won't burn rubber!!.Unless I shift the gear abruptly after reving it in neutral!.
No no , not in front of "Umm Suqueim park".I meant "on the sandy beach" where the ocean meets the land it creates a smooth, stiff, wet surface(environmentalists please excuse me it was long time back). Not doing it any more. 8) OF course!! the tide cleans up all the mess after I leave
By GOD!! what an easy drift it is on such area!!.HEAVENLY is I can describe as the closest. :D :D .
Before an year i guess,, they had'nt shut down the beach entry to the wheel's, so it was possible, these days I don't even dare to search for an entry.
I am searching for a quite spot outside the hustle-bustle, to practise drifting.Just bringing out the tail & continuing with it for as long as the car permits or the road.

Well, there are some car parks that are empty during the weekends..these can be used.
But just remember if a policeman sees you, you'll get the fine + the black points + 30 days car impounded.

How on earth do you 'drift' in a FWD car?
There is a difference between 'drifting' and 'powersliding'

y not call the local Autodrome. I remember one of the marshals mentioning something about drifting is taught in the race & drive school... Since you like pushing ur car around why dont you sign up for a race in the coming redline challenge season costs you AED300 & still beats an AED600 radar ticket...

do you get to take your own car, or you have to you the Autodrome's?

I'd rather trash their cars ;)

^ you dont do much abuse so dont worry much.. It depends on how hard you push the car but most wear and tear is for the tires & brakes. You wont have time to speed much as its a handling & control race mostly & a great practice for beginners... You cant rent AD's cars for such events as they are a people's sport but you could manage to get a rental car!?!?! A manual one of course...
In fact many people go with modified 10-20 year old cars to race there & now are worried that they never can do so when the new car registration laws come up.. Many are begging to give race prepped & classic cars special procedures ...
