The Santa Fe 2013 is coming with three engines and two different wheelbase models to choose from, Hyundai will offer a five-passenger Sport model as well as a 7-passenger LWB (long wheel base) Santa Fe. This last one replaces the Vera Cruz that never really made it big in Middle-East.

WHAT'S NEW?
Well, for one, the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe got the much needed styling update. We've been seeing constant improvements in the exterior designs by both Hyundai and Kia during the past few years. This Hyundai is no exception - a lot of work seems to have gone here for this to stand up to any Audi or Porsche when it comes to design. But the differences don’t end there, like all cars becoming more fuel effecient Hyundai does this by the much-reduced body weight. Reemerging onto the market as a sleeker, more functional and more efficient vehicle, the Santa Fe has shed over a 250 pounds from the older models.

In renewing and reviving the top-selling Korean crossover, Hyundai engineers have empowered the new Santa Fe Sport with a four-cylinder engine lineup with a choice of either front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Like the existing Santa Fe, the new Santa Fe Sport will be available with two engines. A 2.4-liter normally aspirated direct-injected four is the base engine, while a turbocharged and direct-injected 2.0-liter four replaces the V6. Either engine can be had with front- or all-wheel drive, while a six-speed automatic is the only transmission offered. The long-wheelbase version of the new vehicle — known simply as the 2013 Santa Fe, without the Sport tag — will be available only with a 3.3-liter V6. I would've thought the Sports should've been the more powerful one!

Powered by the same engines found in the Sonata - with the ability to tow up to 3,500 pounds - the Santa Fe Sport models will have two options. The base 2.4-liter direct-injection engine makes 190 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy for the FWD is reasonable, giving consumers 22-mpg city, 33-mpg on the highway for a combined 26-mpg. The AWD model achieves a 21/28-mpg rating for 23-mpg combined.
