Toyota has recently announced that the 2012 Camry will be launched in India in August and the model will also enter production in the Asian country.
For those of you who don’t know yet, India is already producing Toyota cars like the Innova, the Etios or the Altis and soon the new Toyota Camry will also enter production there. The Toyota Camry is one of the best selling cars in the world and the model is now getting ready to become available for its future Indian customers which will probably buy the model cheaper than the imported version.
With an excellent fuel economy, a great performance, a roomy and high quality interior and a redesigned exterior with a conservative look, the Toyota Camry is a success in all markets. The entry-level version of the 2012 Toyota Camry is powered by a 2.5 liter engine with four cylinders which is producing a total output of 178 BHP and 230 Nm of torque, returning a fuel efficiency of 10.63 km/l in the city and 14.88 km/l on the highway. The second version of the model is getting a 3.5 liter V6 which is generating 268 HP and 336 Nm of torque. The Camry gets brake assistant, traction control and ABS and the model is priced between 22,055 and 30,115 USD.
