What appears to be the long awaited successor to the legendary Ferrari Enzo—codenamed F70—has recently been snapped by the spy photographers over at Worldcarfans. Scooped in Germany and adorned in heavy camouflage, it's tough to tell exactly what the car will look like, but we're starting to get the general idea.
The test mule spotted here combines a number of unique visual elements, as well as some from other Ferrari models, and appears to be riding on new wheels that could make it to the production model. Under the skin, an extensive use of carbon fiber and aluminium should allow the F70 to weigh in at a svelte 2550 pounds. Motivating that mass will likely be the same 6.3-liter V-12 that sees duty in the new F12berlinetta, only with the wick turned up significantly to the tune of about 800 horsepower. In addition, a KERS system will provide another 120 horsepower, making the F70 far and away the most powerful Ferrari ever. Be sure to check out the March Rumors post we did on Ferrari's next halo car here.

It's also rumored that dethroning the Bugatti Veyron is on the F70's to-do list, so expect performance figures to be properly staggering. The officially F70 unveiling may not take place until next year, but it will almost certainly be worth the wait.
