Hyundai Motor intends to introduce a redesigned variant of the renowned mid-sized Sonata sedan in 2014, according to CEO Kim Choon-ho in an interview with Reuters. The current version of the automobile made its debut in September 2009 in South Korea. In early 2010, it was launched in the United States. The Sonata is a rival of the Camry from Toyota Motor Corp. This model is Hyundai's bestseller in the United States, enabling the company to hit record sales and market share in the country in 2011. In South Korea of the same year, the model was the company's third bestseller. In addition, Kim disclosed to Reuters that the refurbished variant of the large-sized Genesis is set for debut in late 2013.
