The British based automaker Aston Martin has recently announced its plans to put the V12 Vantage Roadster into production.
According to gtspirit.com, the Aston Martin CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, has just confirmed the fact that the car manufacturer is planning to produce the 2012 V12 Vantage Roadster, which can only mean one thing: that the automaker will equip its smallest chassis with the most powerful engine it has, the 6.0 liter V12 unit currently powering the DBS, and knowing how Aston Martin works, that can’t be a bad thing. And this is how a gentleman’s racer is being born, but, again, knowing Aston, we can assure you that this upcoming model will make you sell your house and spend your lifetime economies just to own it.
As a reminder, the 6.0 liter V12 engine which is powering the DBS and will be soon fitted onto the 2012 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is developing a total output of 510 horsepower and has a peak torque of 570 Nm. Even if the baby Aston Martin won’t really be able to compete against an Italian supercar, it will definitely become a pain in the neck for most German automakers and their similar models. Sadly this is all we know for now about the Vantage Roadster but the model might be presented pretty soon, maybe during an international automotive event.
