its a nice road for casual racing...just if they had a bit fewer roundabouts.

Talking about roundabouts, saw an idiot in a black corvette (I think it was a corvette) who had driven right into one of those roundabouts into a palm tree...this was around 2 AM in the morning, so I guess the person was not totally in control of his senses.

not only that, but a Corvette shouldnt be allowed on any other roads but the straight ones!.... That goes for most American (muscle cars)...

:? Ahhh! Why don't people understand! This is the new ERA. The new Corvette is one of the best handling supercars there is. The Z06 version has got 5-star reviews from every automotive mag. It combines every good thing. Its got superb acceleration, handling, top speed. It beat the Murcielago on the Top Gear test track. It is practical too with a usable trunk and it delivers 24 mpg on the highway. Its got a throaty V8 and world class looks. It is even better than a 575M (Jeremy Clarkson). All modern amenities like GPS Nav, 13 speaker BOSE surround sound system, cruise control and heated seats are present. And to top it off, its got a base price of 275,000 AED. BEAT THAT! 8) Its a 90% Ferrari at 20% of the price.
The Mustang GT was described as 'nimble' and 'corner-friendly' by Edmunds.
The Dodge Charger SRT-8/Chrysler 300C SRT-8 have a higher slalom speed than the R34 Skyline. Despite the fact that they are big, heavy and have 6.1l V8's as powerplants.
If you expect every car to handle like a Lotus, then that's a lot to expect. :P

ok ok ok 8)

Thanks for that pointer... But I still think the other 97% of US cars are in-efficient metal boxes that always seem to explode into a rage of flame after the slightest accident...  Maybe I watch too many films...

EMIRATES HILLS.......SOUNDS A BIT FAMILIAR ......DO YOU MEAN SOMEWHERE NEAR THE ACADEMIC CITY ROADS ???

WELL IVE SEEN SOME HORRIFIC ACCIDENTS IN FRONT OF MY EYES ON THE ACADEMIC CITY ROADS .....A GMC YUKON OVERTURNED .....THEN A HONDA CIVIC RAMMING RIGHT INTO A SIGNPOST AND THE WORST OF THEM ALL........A BMW JUMPING A RED LIGHT AT SAY ABOUT 100 + KPH AND RAMMING ONTO AN ONCOMIN CAR..........

SINCE MY UNIVERSITY IS AROUND THAT AREA IM PRONE TO THESE SIGHTS ALMOST ON A REGULAR BASIS ........

WHEN IT RAINED FEW WEEKS BACK.....PPL USED TO DO 360'S AND BURNOUTS AT THE ROUNDABOUTS

no, its not close to the academic city.
The emirates hills road is actually terrible for doing crazy stuff and luckily not that many people do it either. There are too many round-abouts in it to gain real speed, plus its too short of a road. NIce part is that its slightly curved and hilly, but again, you need to slow down for a round-about.

Its just the drunk drivers that end up driving into palm trees ;)
