The new Mercedes M-Class 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY version will be featuring a petrol engine more muscular and beefier than the previous 3.5-litre V6 version. The 4.7-litre (4,663cc) 8-cylinder V8 engine equipped with a dual turbocharger system, produces 408 hp and 600 Nm (from 1,600 r/min), 20 hp and 70 Nm more than the 5,461 cc naturally aspirated V8 found under the hood of the previous ML500. Fuel consumption is reduced by 16% and is rated at 11 litres per 100 km, with CO2 emissions of 258 g/km. The 0-100 km/h is covered in 5.6 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

The 2013 M-Class comes with a brand-new range of options and accessories, such as Assist Collision Prevention (CPA), Brake Assist and Active Parking Assist systems and 19-inch and 21-inch 5-spoke design alloy wheels. The colour palette includes Cavansite Blue and Cinnabar Red, and the front seats have a massaging multicontour function. The TFT display positioned between the speedometer and tachometer produces photorealistic images, the internet-capable COMAND Online infotainment features an automatic emergency call system and the Bang & Olufsen audio system combines 14 high-end speakers and 1,200 watts of output. The car also offers new and enhanced aesthetic packages. The Mercedes ML500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY will be on sale from October at 75,029 Euros (around £ 60,400).
