Hi,
Has anyone experienced or know about a design problem with the Mazda CX-9 transmission overheating when climbing a steep gradient, i was doing some search on the web and found another discussion site with few people in usa having this problem and the dealer told the guy that there is nothing they can do about it and bought the car back from him.
the symptoms are loss of power and no response from throttle during climbing a steep hill say 20% incline for a while.
the CX-9 was the car i decided to buy as my new family car. but after this finding i was worried specially Dubai is not exactly a cold place and this issue may happen while driving in high way during the hot months, never know. could it be that the Mazda modified the the cooling of the gearbox for UAE? i wish but somehow i don't think so.
your feedback is appreciated. if you have a CX-9, it will be interesting to know if you visited Jabal Hafeet in al ain that could be a good test.
I have the link for the other forum but didn't want to post here i dodnt know if thats ok
