I never said they are the same. I meant to say that it is another option in the 150-200k range. I know they are very different! Save some cash as in cheaper than the LC.

Very true!

A friend of mine bought a LC GXR 2007 before the new model came out and paid 173k for the top of the range model. Now in 2008, the top of the range is 183k but this has a lot more nice things like navigation etc.

So the price hike aint that bad, also given the Yen appreciation to the AED.

However, the difference is the engine size. The new GXR is 4.0 liter while the old one was 4.8 liter I believe. But the new LC has an improved automatic gear and better fuel consumption.

The outgoing GXR was 4.5 while the new one is 4.0. Doesn't make a difference though as the new V6 unit produces more hp and torque than the outgoing straight six, plus it saves fuel.
