Hmmm, sounds good. Will surely go there once the track opens.

There's no F1 in Dubai.

There was an F1 event once held on the Autodrome, not sure though.

Is'nt the Dubai Motor City somehow affiliated with the F1 ?
And if it is, then there the Autodrome should have some connection there as well.

But fayz is right. Abu Dhabi has the F1 circuit, and not Dubai.
I think it was a money thing to get the F1, and AD has the money.

But Dubai will get all the tourists anyway, so everyone wins.

From official Union Properties website

Dubai Autodrome

Includes a 5.39 km FIA certified track with supporting services (pit garages, grandstand, race administration, medical centres, etc.). The Dubai Autodrome race calendar includes major races such as FIA GT. It also includes a kartdrome and a race school. A host of businesses use the track year round for events such as product launches, corporate events and concerts, to name a few.

I think it is compatible with F1 requirements.

not to be argumentative but from the website you posted.

is to bring the excitement and potential of the world’s foremost Formula One feeder category

There is no F1 in Dubai, wish there was or will but there is not. Either way AD is an hour away and I'll be there as I'm sure many fans will be.

there are differences between FIA GT and F1
