Fines Fines and Fines!!!

Had a bad day today while renewing my car registration today! Need to exhaust some of my fumes...and hence here online!

Worst part was getting a 600 DHM fine from Sharjah and 400 DHM fine from Umm al Quwain...both I do not understand how!

First they said, go to Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain to ask them. Then I found someone who knew more about this than the young boys working the counters. He checked, and said they are speeding fines! However, I do not recall any speeding or flashing cameras!

I fear they are trying to raise their revenue by falsely fining! Atleast I feel that way today @#R*#%!*@!*&

Yeah, also, got another Salik fine again for a wrong number plate! Again some motorcycle pizza delivery guy who they mistook for my bike!

Still had to pay the 100 DHM fine, and need to claim back the money. I guess that will be a hassle one needs to see if it is worth pursuing @!%*#%*@%*&%E#*#*%#*%*#@

Sad, it is worth going to Sharjah/UAQ and asking them for a picture.

After sharing the story with a friend who also re-registered his car today, he shared his pain-story that he got a 600 DHM fine from Sharjah Police for his car that was not even in the country. He had driven it to Jordan when the fine was issued! Go figure that out!!
