Has anyone been to the dealers lately and can report on the mood these days?
I am sensing a bit of desperation by the number of ads with price cuts I see in the papers these days. Is it that they are all trying to get rid of 2009 stock, or a general feeling of desperation after all the financial crises with the Dubai World debt issues?

Got even 2 SMS spams from new car dealers in one day. Seems like desperate times.

Talking about price cuts, has anyone seen the pricing from Toyota on the 2009 stock? The Prado and Land Cruiser seem to be at a bargain given what the 2010 models cost.
I guess for Prado, the shape change explains the difference. However, for Land Cruiser is the same shape.

Dealers don't care, only dealer giving genuine discounts is Al Habtoor.
The desperation right now is due to the stocks of 2009 models like you said.
How much is the LC 09 going for? And which dealers sent the messages? Would like to know if I could get some deals.

The LC 09 is starting from 145k according to the advert in Gulf News!

I see desperation, and all the reason for desperation. The 09 stock value is depreciating a percent a week!
