Dubai airport terminal 1 long term car parking? ;)

cheapest you will probably find in bur dubai or deira side! If you are looking at one of the big names, diamond lease and thrifty seem to have good rates, but you need to find the right discounts - like airlines, free zone, employer, etc. I dont think Diamond lease does Tiidas (only Lancers).

LOL! No, nothing of that sort.

let me guess...they impounded your Z, took away your license, and you had to re-take it ???

They normally look at your age, not how long you've had a license. How can they tell how old a license is anyway? You could have just moved from some other country. You could have lost your old license and a new one just was re-issued.

most places check to see if your UAE license is over 1 yr old, they check when it was issued i think.
also the big rental companies require you to be over 25, with some allowing over 21 also.
check the small shops in deira/bur dubai/ghusais though if you get any traffic fine or accident they will make you pay a lot of extra $$$$

well, a UAE license driver is probably a better driver than many of the tourists coming with international driving licenses. Well, I am sure there are ways around this 1 year minimum if that even exists.

Unfortunately it exists, everywhere I asked. Apparently insurance won't cover losses if the car was rented to a driver with a license less than 1 year old. Could be wrong but that's what I heard.

you could get someone with a license older than 1yr as the primary driver then add the other person as secondary. thrifty did that for a relative of mine.

i dont know if this helps, but i rented a VW touareg for 8 days, and payed 280AED in total, with delivery and pick up to my company. They did everything, I just drove it :) no its not a typo, i wrote 280AED...

If u think im kidding, check out this link: http://www.inmotion.ae/rent_home.html

PS: If u want to pick up the car urself and give it back, u can rent the car for 10AED per day. other than toureg, u can choose a merc C class, beetle, mini-cooper...etc.

inmotion is a bloody joke. I've tried booking with this site at least 50 times since they launched in the UAE, but they never seem to have the touareg or the beetle. It's apparently always booked. On ringing them, they advise the only way to book it thru their website, and nothing can be done on the phone.

This will ONLY work if you are lucky and somehow the computer selects you over thousands of other people who are wanting to rent at AED 10.

VRV, you are the first person who has been able to get the inmotion car. Others seem to have the same experience as ewap8.

What did you do different to get the Touareg?
