Porsche 911 updated

Postby T.N.T on Fri Jun 06, 2008 3:08 pm

The whole press report is really boring. The only major upgrade is the introduction of a new twin-cluth (think DSG/TC-SST) 7 speed auto tranny (called the PDK) which will be offered alongwith the traditional 6 speed manual.

And the GT-R is booked in the UAE till 2011. All cars paid for in cash. Dealer price 420k.

420K? I thought the idea of the GT-R was a cheaper alternative to the 911.

The cars are already here, waiting for their customers at some Abu Dhabi port. I'll post pics soon.
It costs 70k$ in the US despite demand, while dealers here are charging their own 'incentives' thanks to the huge demand. Lots of people are going to make huge profits off the GT-R. People who will get their cars here and sell them here, and those who will order them from the US for customers here.

Yeah, I was expecting to see it around 270k AED here..that's quite a margin!
I am sure the prices will settle down here once the initial madness is over.
