bmw 540i problems while downshifting

i hav E39 540i...while downshifting lower gears the car is gives jerks
any idea wat mayb the problem??
i hav shown it to few ppl and every1 has a different say
i hav recently changed my gear oil aswell
but the jerks are still there...
