Improving Pajero 3.0 Acceleration and Power

Hi Guys,
I have owned a Pajero IV 3.0 for a year, i wanted to know if there are any cheap upgrades available for improving the engine response, as acceleration is a bit low on 3.0 models.

like Air filters or intake kits? i have looked at the K&N Filters but couldn't find Pajero IV 3.0 V6 Model, the only one listed was 3.8 and 3.2 deisel.

Can i fit a 3.8 Pajero air filter in a pajero 3.0?

Not heard yet of people pimping up their Pajeros for more power...normally the mods are for off-roading or body kits.

The K&N filters may help a bit, but not sure if you'll get that much bph or Nmh out of that.
There are some tuning ECU chips available for Mitsubishi - advertised on the web.

They may give you 5-10% increase in power and torque, but you're messing with the factory settings, so beware. Your warranty will be voided for once.

don't mod the electrical stuff without checking out with somebody who already has pimped pajero... might end in weaker performance...
