need help to understand some police procedures....

the exit barrier of my building fell suddenly as i was exiting and caused a dent and a scratch on teh bonnet, as i tried reversing quickly to get out from under. called teh cops, they came and saw what happened and asked whose fault? Not mine, told them. He writes the report and gives me a pink copy.

I send same to teh landloard for paying to fix teh damage caused by their faulty equipment, they say that their insurance cannot pay as its a pink copy meaning it was my fault and i should have teh green copy if i want to claim. Unluckily i have not been in any accident to know this otherwise i would have asked for teh green copy!!!

Is there anyway of getting teh green copy??

Yes there is if it is Dubai, but you need to check first what's written in your copy.

just fax me the copy on 04-2178218 to have a look.

By the way does your land lord agree to pay if you got the green copy ?

Rule of thumb:

Green copy = not your mistake, you/your insurance company will not pay. The other party pays for all damages.

Pink copy = your mistake, you/your insurance company will pay for all damages.

is that true for all the emirates? cause i heard in shj its green your fault and red not your fault lol

In Dubai its green for relaxation, other emirates I never encounter, basically it should be same in all emirates as all are coming under federal ministry, but there are cases where by mistake it was exchanged and was handed over to the wrong party, therefore you need to check what is written in it to be sure.
