Exporting a car to Angola, AfricaCan anyone provide what the requirements/fees etc are for exporting a car to Angola, Africa please?
Re: Exporting a car to Angola, AfricaYou need to get in touch with some freight forwarder to tell you how much it will cost.
Also depends on how you want to send it...in container, or open ship, etc. From UAE side, the export procedure is rather simple. You need to take it to Tasjeel or any car registration area and get them to create papers for export. I think it costs a few hundred dirhams (search on the forum, I think there are exact fees that someone posted earlier). You can get the blue export plates to use for 30 days, but you will need local insurance for those days. Once you have export papers, you hand over the car and papers to the freight forwarder, and they should handle everything. For Angola, a half-container may cost you around $4000...but these rates change with time. Come and discuss at the most lively forums about Cars, Bikes, 4x4s...at http://www.autodealer.ae at the Autodealer UAE Forums.
