2010 Audi A5 Sportback availability in UAE?

Does anybody in the community know if the new Audi A5 Sportback will be available in UAE?

The model was introduced in Europe just recently and should be available September onwards there.

I am really interested in getting one ASAP, the question is whether I can buy one from the local dealer or do I have to import one from Europe.

if its just coming to europe in september, they be prepared to wait a while. chances of it coming here is slim though id reckon.

Audi Dubai (Al Naboodah) will be able to tell you when they plan to import it

Thanks guys for your comments, just came back from Europe and checked the A5 Sportback models and price lists.

2.0 engine with Quattro would the the best option, the next step is to check with Audi Dubai whether the A5 Sportback will be available anytime soon and if yes, will they carry also 2.0 with Quattro.

At the time being A5 Coupe is only available with 3.2. engine and A4 also with 3.2. engine in case I want to have Quattro, so the options with those are pretty limited for Quattro if I don't want to go with the 3.2 engine. So that would leave me with only option to order from Europe.

Let's see and wait for Audi Dubai comment!

isn't the 2.0 the diesel TDI engine? that won't come here!

The A5 3.2 was advertised in the paper for 219k by Al-Naboodah today. Same as the price list we have on this site as well. I guess more frills in the same price.

Whatever you do, don't get a diesel in UAE!

There are currently two petrol engines available in Europe, 2.0 TFSI and 3.2, both with Quattro.

The other engine models are 2.0 TDI and 3.0 TDI diesel engines.

Like you Root mentioned, diesel is not an option in UAE and that's why I am looking for the 2.0 TFSI with Quattro. Most likely 3.2. petrol engine (V6) will be discontinued in the near future and 2.0 TFSI will give almost the same performance in the daily traffic with less consumption.

I am sure you can get Al-Naboodah to order you one, if you are willing to wait.
Also, you can try Ali & Sons in Abu Dhabi...they might be more accomodating.

the a5 is already in uae. a friend had taken one for the test drive some days back. and i saw one in the pre-owned showroom.
